Yesterday evening, in the company of my best guy, I enjoyed a truly special dining experience at a Philadelphia neighborhood spot. It’s small, charming, well managed, and absolutely delicious….if you like fish, of course.
We walked in to what resembled an empty private dining room. It’s tiny- seating perhaps 20 maximum. The server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. He advised us of the 4 appetizer and 4 main dishes for the evening; that’s right, only 4 options for each. But trust me… it’s so divine even 4 options make it difficult.
At the advisory of the server, we ordered a Grilled Octopus dish to start
An incredibly seasoned grill made for a scrumptious dish. The combination of textures between the octopus, cucumber and olives made for a well presented dish.
Oh and let’s not forget the bread- so wonderful that I didn’t even feel a tad bit ashamed asking for a second piece.
For our mains, we were torn…
I ended up selecting a lovely Striped Sea Bass dish
The server brought me a spoon so I could devour the classic yet innovative broth of tomatoes and cannelini beans. Told you… no shame.
Love filled the air last night- the comfortable yet chic atmosphere and perfectly executed fish dishes made me fall for this place. Oh and let’s not to forget my charming date who treated me to such a special, soul warming experience.
