Oh my, where does the time go? The weeks have ticked by and I have to tell you, I’ve enjoyed (almost) each minute. Transitioning into this new job of mine has been rather smooth and there have been so many exciting events that have left me in awe of the loveliness of this little life of mine. In weeks past life has been lived and gratitude has been given. We spent Thanksgiving, L and I, with both of our families.
I roasted the most perfect turkey and celebrated to be certain.
Later that week we were in awe of the message of Patti Smith and the unfaltering energy of Neil Young in the city. There was a moment that evening that I, in the blur of cheering fans and (not so) cheap beer, I felt so happy to be alive.
Speaking of which, no time like the present to announce that I’M GOING TO BE AN AUNT in just a few short months. If you can’t tell by the Jack and Janie charges on my statement, I’m a little excited. We showered my SIL with love and gifts (lots and lots of gifts) and I think I can speak for all of us when I say we’re so ready for him to be here!
What else, what else? Well Christmas is coming and I’m doing my best to attack the gift giving component with ease while busily planning the culinary (superior) component in my busy brain. A pre-Christmas celebration with my family in the country, an intimate Christmas Eve dinner in the works, and Christmas Day with Luke’s family a short ride outside of the city. A busy season with lots of be thankful for and opportunity to offer love, too.
What are you dreaming, loving, cooking?
