You guys, Meg here just put into such purposeful words what I’ve been thinking and cursing about under my breath since dawning of my 20s.
Hearing the comments of “you’re still so young” or “this is the time to make mistakes” trivialize not only decisions and years that are the foundation of the rest of our life, but an entire decade is written off as the buffer period between adolescence and adulthood.
Meg says this isn’t right…30 is not the new 20. That we twentysomethings should use this time to get some identity capital, use weak ties, and pick our family.
And most importantly she advises, “Don’t be defined by what you didn’t know or didn’t do, you’re deciding your life right now.”
Thank you, Meg. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
